This book is for Young Adults (teenagers), so I loved how Tracy added that story in this book to help younger readers know there is not just one relationship out there. I feel like these stories in books and movies should happen more frequently to provide the perspective that love doesn’t have to be constrained between two different genders, especially for younger people who are discovering their sexuality. It added views on sexuality in the present day that is more accepted as it wasn’t back when Grandma Jo was younger. Tracy developed a relationship between two people (Esha and Grandma Jo) that I didn’t know would occur. Tracy provided a twist to the story where Esha was actually a lesbian.
